A Good Excuse

It’s like an actual crime of the universe that this group has never gotten family photos taken before. A crime! Well, better late than never as kid #1 is headed to college next year (!) and all 3 teenagers actually seem to genuinely enjoy each other’s company in the meantime. When does that happen?! Too seldom, I’m afraid… and that on its own is enough reason to get family photos taken.

It’s such a pleasure to spend time photographing a family that knows how to laugh together. This first photo is my no-doubt-about-it favorite from our session. Vibrant Findlay Market in downtown Cincinnati was the perfect backdrop for this gang to snuggle up together on a brisk November morning. And after all, laughing helped us warm up, too! We were full of excuses for a good session, and I think the finished pictures speak for themselves as the best excuse of all.
