Is it just me, or does the first day of school feel like a national holiday? Fresh school supplies, the perfect outfit, cheering crowds and giddy excitement, and best of all: tiny humans wearing huge backpacks. I would gladly celebrate this every day!
Every year, I am thrilled to be on the front lines welcoming students back to school at the Miami Valley School. Families line up to have their photo taken in front of MVS’s iconic stained glass exterior wall. Gripped with nerves and gripping each other for reassurance, they beam with sparkle, and I capture what can only be described as a historic moment in their lives. It’s such a rush, and I am so grateful for the tradition!
