Five Years of Love

I didn’t realize until after our session that the traditional gift for 5 years of marriage is wood. How perfect that Erin and Eric have such a gorgeous tree in their own backyard that was the perfect backdrop for our casual anniversary shoot! They are such a beautiful and fun-loving couple, giddy to have updated photos of their family at their new-ish home “just because.”

One of the best parts of our morning was getting to meet their darling little fur babies. And p.s. I have never photographed such cooperative pets – I mean look at these stunning creatures! They were picture perfect on the inside and out, and I love that they were included as essential family members in our session.

Before we finished up, it was Erin’s idea to pull out their framed wedding “guest book” for a photo-in-a-photo, too! Such a lovely idea, and one of my favorite moments from our morning together.
